The gorgeous primates of Borneo offer hours of endless fascination watching their antics as they frolic and go about their daily lives in the jungles of Sabah.

The unusual Proboscis Monkey with freaky noses and ears look a little like they’ve sparked numerous sci-fi movie characters, while the beautiful orange young of the Silvered Langur is such a wonderful yet unusual sight.

As they reveal their personalities it is incredibly easy to see how they are our closest relatives.

Being in Borneo, and coming face-to-face with these majestic creatures was an amazing experience.  I found their near human expressions and personalities fascinating, yet also on the verge of being a little alarming.  This is one time when I could very clearly see them as our closest relative.

Their animated and ever-changing expressions also meant the adrenaline was pumping through my body in what was almost a shooting frenzy for several hours – of course, all incredibly enjoyable!
